Raising the txpower on the panda did make it a little hot which was to be expected for such a small card with no heatsinks. The atheros chipset in the alfa seems to inject packets better at range with lower txpower than the panda cards chipset. Running this card against an ALFA awus036nha with an atheros chipset the performance differences show however. This card is great, plug and play with newest kali linux, packet injection and monitor mode work great, its small size makes it perfect to stash away in your bag when you're done, its got that radio sealed plastic packaging thats a pain to open and doesn't bode well for returns.
